A lot of the things that you want to do and indeed should do in Sydney are rather handily placed reasonably close to each other so you can cross Sydney Harbour on a ferry (a thing that you must do) and at the same time get to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and the Circular Quay, to say nothing of the landscape around you and the boat alongside and of course as you dock get a beer in the Manly Wharf Pub or amazing ice cream at Max Brenner's Chocolate bar. 

So the ferry is a great way to see a very big chunk of Sydney but the Opera House needs a closer inspection it is a sublime building and when you sit on the terrace you can take photographs of you and yours at one of the locations in the world. 

If you are up to it from close to the Sydney opera house you can take the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb which is a little energetic so if you just want to say you walked across the Sydney harbour Bridge then you can.

But there is a better way to see Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Bridge and so much more and that is by Helicopter. Helicopter rides last from 15 minutes to… well to as long as you want and during that time you will see so much. 

If you book the longer Helicopter rides then you can also go further afield down to palm Beach for some Whale watching or even to Sydney's Blue Mountains and the famous Three Sisters rocks. By road this trip is only an hour and a half and by either method of transport there is a wonderful view to reward you when you get to the top of the Blue Mountains.

When you are in Sydney you have to take a dip in the sea at Bondi Beach and if you're feeling adventurous then why not try your hand at Surfing? It is as difficult as it seems, but it is fun once you have mastered it and maybe you can hang around with the Aussies at the Bondi Pavilion Balcony and drink what they drink, beer, more beer and yes you guessed it even more beer. 

If you are planning to go to Australia to see the wildlife it is a little difficult because there is just so much of Australia, happily you can go to the Featherdale Wildlife Park and see all of the native birds and animals including Parrots, Cockatoos, Kangaroos and of course Koalas if you have young ones it is a treat because most of the animals can be hand fed by even the smallest member of the family.
